About the event

Come and find out about why we need foster carers in Bradford. We’ll talk you through the fostering process, our different schemes, the support available to you and give you the opportunity to ask us questions.

Book your place here.

During this session, you can talk to foster carers about what it's like to be a foster carer. We will talk to you about why we need foster carers in Bradford, talk you through the fostering process, our different schemes, the support available to you and give you the opportunity to ask us questions.

Please note the session will hopefully be delivered in person, depending on Covid levels at the time. Please book in to the session so if we have to move it to an online session (via Zoom), you will still be able to join us.

Why foster for Bradford?

Bradford Fostering is the largest fostering agency in the Bradford district. As the main provider for fostering in the district, we make sure that the children and young people we are responsible for, are placed in the best fostering families possible and we prioritise foster families who work with us directly.

We offer a wide range of training and support from social workers, medical colleagues, therapists (if required), educational support and a great network of experienced foster carers. We also provide generous fees and allowances.

Why foster?

Foster carers play a hugely important role for a child in care. You will be supporting them with school and medical appointments, encouraging positive activities, overcoming emotional or physical trauma, whilst providing a safe and nurturing environment they can call home and teaching them what a functioning family can look like.

You will be making a difference to children and young people who need your help and love.

If you have ever thought about fostering and have a spare room, come and speak to us. These sessions are hosted by the recruitment team and foster carers, providing a perfect platform for you to ask questions and get a real account of the application process and life as a foster carer.

There are various types of fostering arrangements, all of which are discussed during the session, along with things such as support, networking, eligibility criteria and children coming into care. Want to join us? Book your place here.
